Priorities
Every decision in Jefferson City should put people first, and that’s exactly what Pam May is fighting for. She is focused on the issues that matter most to the people of Missouri Senate District 34, from healthcare and education to fairness and strong communities.
If there’s a priority you don’t see here, Pam wants to hear from you.

Accessible & Affordable Healthcare
Access to quality healthcare is a fundamental need, and more people in Missouri deserve coverage, not less. Pam believes that no one should be left behind when it comes to their health. Recent proposals, like the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” risk wasting millions of dollars while creating systems designed to remove people from Medicaid. These policies make it harder for Missourians to get the care they need, and that’s not acceptable.

Pam will work in Jefferson City to protect and expand healthcare access for every Missourian. She believes that healthcare policy should prioritize people over bureaucracy or budget gimmicks. Ensuring that everyone can see a doctor, fill a prescription, or access preventative care is a cornerstone of fairness.
Stronger Schools, Brighter Futures
Public education is essential for strong communities, and Missouri consistently ranks near the bottom in state support for its schools. Pam believes putting people first means preserving public tax dollars for public education and ensuring that our schools have the resources they need to succeed. She supports school choice but believes that public education must come first, especially when state resources are limited.

Pam will fight to strengthen, not weaken, public schools. She opposes programs that funnel tax dollars away from public education to private schools, particularly when the state is facing a multi-billion-dollar state revenue shortfall. Every student deserves a strong education, and every public dollar should be used to support the schools that serve all children.
Government Accountability, Fair Representation, & Voters' Rights
Pam believes government should listen to and respect Missouri voters. In 2024, Missouri voters approved paid sick leave, and Platte County voters passed a quarter-cent sales tax to fund youth mental health services. Unfortunately, elected officials rejected these measures, leaving employers not required to provide paid sick leave and youth mental health programs underfunded. Lawmakers have also made it clear they want to silence the voices of Missourians by jeopardizing the initiative petition process, used for over 100 years to bring to the forefront critical issues that are important to Missourians.

In Jefferson City, Pam is committed to working on behalf of the people, not against them. By putting people first, she will move beyond a government that is broken and dysfunctional toward one that is truly committed to the welfare of everyone. Laws and policies should reflect the priorities of everyday Missourians, ensuring that citizens have a voice and that government serves the common good.
A Fair Tax System for All
Missouri’s tax system is broken. According to the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, Missouri was one of five states with the largest tax cuts for millionaires in 2025. This leaves a heavier burden on working people. Pam believes a fair tax system is one where everyone pays their share and includes policies that benefit the many, not just the few.

Pam will advocate for policies that create balance and fairness in taxation. She believes that funding essential services like education, healthcare, and community programs depends on a tax system that works for all Missourians. No one should be left behind because the rules favor the wealthy or powerful, and Pam will fight for fairness every step of the way.
Investing in Mental Health & Community Well-Being
Communities thrive when mental health is prioritized. Pam believes that youth mental health services deserve consistent support and funding. In 2024, local voters in Platte County approved a quarter-cent sales tax to fund these services, but it was blocked, leaving a critical program underfunded.

Pam is committed to advocating for investments in mental health and community well-being. She believes government should actively support programs that strengthen families, protect vulnerable populations, and ensure that all Missourians have access to the resources they need to live healthy lives.
Putting People First, Always
At the heart of every issue, Pam’s priority is simple: people come first. Whether it’s healthcare, education, fair taxation, or community well-being, she believes that government must act for the benefit of everyone, not just a select few.

Pam will bring a people-first mindset to Jefferson City, ensuring policies reflect the needs and voices of everyday Missourians. She believes that public service is a responsibility, not a privilege, and that every decision should be guided by fairness, compassion, and the common good.
